Cool Off

While swimming at Cape Tribulation beach is highly discouraged due to the threat of saltwater crocodiles and marine stingers. Fortunately, if you’re looking for a refreshing swim, there are a number of freshwater swimming spots located close by where you can cool off and escape the tropical heat.

One of the most popular swimming holes is Mason’s Swimming Hole. You’ll find this right next to Mason’s Cafe in the centre of Cape Tribulation, just opposite the beach.

Discover The Great Barrier Reef

Cape Tribulation isn’t just about gorgeous green rainforests, it is also one of the best places to discover the Great Barrier Reef. The pristine reefs of Mackay and Undine are much closer to the mainland than most other places in Queensland.
